Feeling
This month I would like to continue from our February Newsletter. In February we spoke about “I AM “. When we say our “I AM” statements in a positive way, we create an affirmation or truth for ourselves.
This month we will put the next step into place and that is “FEELING”. The golden key with shifting any negative life-patterns is having emotional honesty and consistency. In the beginning these feelings may be buried so deep you may not be able to truly feel what it is like to let go, let alone replace your negative feelings with positive ones. If this is difficult, it is ok to “fake it till you make it” when you are starting to shift an old pattern. When you include the “I AM” statements along with “FEELING” you are creating a new programme in your subconscious mind. It is when this happens that it becomes true for you.
Allow yourself time to STOP. Breathe in the “I AM” statements and really feel what it is like. For example, “I AM valuable to everyone around me…”. Then take these feelings through your whole body and notice how good it really makes you feel. The feeling arising from this statement might be well-being, contentment, a feeling of being loved and a contributing member of your family or team. It is different for everyone. This method of thinking creates a snow ball effect and more of these thoughts and feelings become a part of every day life. This attract more of the same feelings, making this a new way of thinking.
A great way to appreciate this is through exercise. Every day for a week say your “I AM” statement along with breathing in the “FEELING” that goes along with it. First thing in the morning is a great time to do this exercise either before you get out of bed or while exercising. You will notice a huge difference in your day being filled with positive thoughts and feelings. What a great way to start the day!!
